On December 19, 2019, the medical team of China assistance Nepal (hebei) arrived at the AVIC-KDN Tribhuvan International Airport project and held a charity clinic for Chinese and Nepalese employees, owners, supervisors, TIA airport employees and their relatives and friends.
It is learned that the team sent 16 doctors from surgery, internal medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, orthopaedics, ultrasound and other disciplines to make on-site consultations, and carried out physical examinations and health consultations for more than 130 Chinese and Nepalese personnel. In addition, the medical team also donated standby emergency medicine to provide health support for the project department.
The free clinic has been well received locally. Many people say they often encounter language barriers when seeking treatment overseas, and that face-to-face contact with Chinese doctors is more reassuring.
According to the agreement between the two governments, Hebei has been sending medical teams to Nepal since 1999. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Hebei's aid to Nepal. Over the past 20 years, every batch of medical team firmly will entrust talk of the motherland in mind, always passing on and practice of the "not afraid of hardship, dedicated, heal the wounded and rescue the dying, big boundless love" foreign aid medical team spirit, won the full trust of the government and people of Nepal, made a positive contribution to consolidate the traditional friendship.
